HAPPINESS WRITES "HEED"

 This was the umpteenth time🕰️ I was looking up the admission list 📋hoping that some sort of miracle would happen and I would find my name amongst the other lucky students. Apparently, it seems like my miracle will never come to fruition.

Oh gosh🤦‍♀️! Father, please help me!😩 Am I destined to be an illiterate!? I shouted out of frustration as I broke down in tears.😭

I was the perfect description of a Jesus girl. I really could not place what exactly was wrong.I had prayed🙇🏼‍♀, fasted, and even sown seeds🌱 of faith. My friends were all preparing to leave for school🎒 for the commencement of a new academic session. Why does it seem like my own admission will have 'K leg'.😔

I continued lamenting, venting out my frustrations until I willingly surrendered to the power of nature... I slept off😴😴

Dreaming...💭

"Hey babes, please can you join me, I'm running an errand for my mum" my next-door neighbor who doubles as my very close friend asked.

"Oh cool! Not like I'm really engaged. Besides, I'm bored. Let us go!
(I accepted her request)

We continued gisting happily👭 until I took a bend.

" ah ah! Where are you going?" Anna asked puzzled😕

" this way is shorter, or aren't going to get drugs💊 for your mom from the pharmacist?" I said confidently with a pinch of pride🦚 also getting confused at her confusion... I've walked with Anna long enough to know when she goes for her mother's drugs.

"Smiles😁, No I'm not. I'm going to drop a message for someone"

"Oh🤨! I'm sorry, my bad!" I apologized

"Relax, okay? I'm the one leading, so just follow" ( She responded like a big sister to her younger one)

I admired her momentarily as we continued on our journey.

** I am the one leading so just follow***.....

I woke up with that line on my lips. Baffled at the meaning of the dream this hot afternoon.

Dreams are one of the effective ways through which God communicates to me hence I don't make light of my dreams.

Still grappling with my sleepy eyes,  I picked my bag🛍️ and headed for the market.

While meditating🤔, the Holy Spirit reminded me of our short conversation in the salon.

"UNIMAID!?  Ah, no oh, Father! The south has always been my dream place" I lamented.

"Baby girl, God's  thought for us are always in our best interest. And as your Father's Princess, there are specifics He has designed just for you alone.  It's your responsibility to obey it even when it doesn't make sense. "

"When you pray, Lead me, Lord! What do you expect? He is leading, all you have to do is follow"

"Okay dear, you will be fine, just trust His leading, bye" my seat partner on the bus🚍 ended his long call.

The same line again? LEAD and FOLLOW. GOD leads, I follow

"What do you mean when you say God has specifics for one's life" I engaged him in a conversation💬

"Someone has been eavesdropping on my call" he joked with a broad smile,😁 exposing his perfect dentition.

"That was my younger sister" He added.

Remember David? I like the fact that, for every step he wanted to take, scripture says  he inquired of the Lord, and we see that at one instance he was instructed to pursue but another time he was asked not to. Based on our personal dealings with God, He gives us non-negotiable unique instructions tailored for us alone.  As believers, we don't act on yesterday's instructions. There is something called God's specific for the NOW. Don't get me, the wrong darling, here; I don't mean principles. Principles are constant and whoever applies it correctly, gets the predicted outcome.We are gifts to God by virtue of the death of Jesus Christ and in our contemporary world we understand that when someone is given a gift, he has the liberty to use it when and how he wants, don't limit God.

"Hmm, what a lecture! I had a dream ( narrates dream to him), and I have been trusting God for admission into tertiary institution..."

"Any instructions yet?"

"Yes! GOD said UNIMAID,  but you know about the  current happenings in the north. No right-minded person would opt for the north!"  (I responded with a worry😟 adorned voice.)

"If you need to be 'left-minded' to honor God's leading, then so be it!"

Just imagine gaining admission into your chosen institution and boom! You encounter life-threatening challenges, how do you fare? Would you say God is in it when you clearly know He didn't author it? On the journey of instructions, the instructor takes responsibility for every challenge encountered. So if you say that 'God is the author and finisher of your Faith' then allow Him to do his job. Don't do the 'authoring' and expect him to do the 'finishing'

"Palmgroove!!!" The half-drunk conductor shouted indicating the next bus stop.

"I'm dropping oh" Stranger responded

"Thank you for your time and counsel, I'm grateful"

"You're welcome, I'm Temi and you...?" Stranger introduced himself as he hurried towards the door and I continued my journey to the market...

So today, I stand here to encourage anyone who is confused about God's instruction. it could be your job, career, course of study, relationship, investment, anything! Even your finances. If I didn't follow God's leading, I wouldn't be the best graduating student today, I may not have been able to influence as many lives as I have today. And many more things which God has done through me may have not been achieved or yet still, the baton may have been given to someone else. I would end by saying this in my local pidgin " when you put God for the passenger seat, no expect am to drive the motor as per e no like gra gra" 

I was greeted with a standing ovation as I  descended the stage.

Mine is a life of fulfillment simply because I heeded...
